The Tapper Training Program related to the Lunugala Rubber Development Officer Training will be held on 25th, 26th and 27th June 2025 at the Lunugala Pallekiriwa Temple under the leadership of the Rubber Development Officer, Mr. B.M.A.C.R. Perera. In addition to the use, the trainees will be educated on the management of rubber cultivation, application of fertilizer for mature and immature rubber cultivation, use for rain, intercropping and production of quality rubber sheets, and awareness on intensive tapping. The resourcefulness of the Badalkumbura II and V Rubber Development Officer, Mr. M.S. Jayawardena, has been provided for this.

A "Rubber Mobile Service Program" implemented by the Rubber Development Department under the Clean Sri Lanka Program was held on 2025.08.01 at the Katuwana Agricultural Center, centered around the Katuwana Rubber Development Officer Division. At that time, advice was given on farmer issues, advice on the department's subsidy schemes, directing farmers to new crops, coordination with government institutions to obtain free seedlings for intercropping with rubber cultivation, advice on fertilizer application, obtaining Metrolac readings for the milk yield of their cultivation, awareness was given to farmers on the control of diseases related to rubber cultivation and other agricultural and export agriculture related development programs. This program was organized by Katuwana Rubber Development Officer S.V.P.T. Dilshan under the supervision of Galle Director (Regional) Mrs. Disna Withanage and Hambantota Senior Rubber Development Officer Mrs. N.C. Palihawadana. For this, the resources were provided by the Kamburupitiya and Walasmulla Rubber Development Officers, the Rubber Research Institute Extension Officer Mr. Supun, the Export Agriculture Officer, the Fertilizer Secretariat Officers, Coconut Development Officers, and Katuwana Agriculture Officers.

A training program to raise awareness among mature cultivators regarding the Monaragala 1 Rubber Development Officer Division was conducted at the Thenagallanda Society Hall on 2025.07.05 under the leadership of Mr. S.M.M.Thushara Wickramasinghe, Rubber Development Officer of the Monaragala I Rubber Development Officer Division. Here, explanations were given on many issues such as cutting and marking, applying fertilizer to mature rubber cultivation, disease control, identifying and remedying TPD conditions, and awareness on intercropping.

A field day to educate rubber cultivators on immature crop maintenance was held on July 16, 2025, at the Moratukanda Estate in Thunulla. The event was part of a program organized by the Alawwa Rubber Development Officer's Division in the Kurunegala District and was attended by 22 farmers.
During the program, farmers were educated on immature crop maintenance, fertilizer application, rubber disease control, and intercropping. Farmer committees were also established.
Concurrently, Mr. Chandima, a development officer from the Agricultural Insurance Board, informed the farmers about rubber crop insurance.
The resource persons for the immature crop program were Mr. Udayakumara, the Senior Rubber Development Officer for the Galigamuwa region, and Ms. Iroshika, the Alawwa Rubber Development Officer.

At these meetings, farmers are informed about basic land preparation for rubber plantations, planting a rubber plant, maintenance of immature plantations, fertilizer application and diseases of rubber plantations.
