This program was held under the supervision of Mrs. Nilanthi Weerasuriya, Director (District), Ratnapura Office, Rubber Development Department, and officials of other agriculture-related government institutions working in those divisions also assisted in this.
Under this program, mainly,
1. Resolving issues related to licenses of registered rubber farmers and rubber cultivation.
2. Raising awareness about intercropping with rubber and the use of rain covers.
3. Raising awareness about the Rubber Cultivation Insurance Scheme.
4. Necessary advice was given to the farmers regarding the European Union Regulation (EUDR) on Deforestation-Free Products/Rubber Production Issues/Problems to be resolved.

This program was attended by Rubber Development Officers Mr. Sujani Gamage, Lakmini Jayasekara and Umesh Ranasinghe and was organized by Rubber Development Officer Mrs. K.M. Nirosha Chandrasekara.

At that time, advice was given on farmer problems, advice on the Department's subsidy schemes, guidance of farmers for new cultivation, coordination of state institutions to obtain free seedlings for intercropping with rubber cultivation, advice on fertilizer application and awareness was given on the control of diseases related to rubber cultivation.
Under the supervision of the Galle Director (Regional) Mrs. Disna Withanage, the program was organized by the Suriyawewa Rubber Development Officer Mrs. A. W. C. Sewwandi under the leadership of the Hambantota Senior Rubber Development Officer Mrs. N. C. Palihawadana. For this, resources were provided by Katuwana Rubber Development Officer S.V.P.T. Dilshan, Nursery Manager Senior Rubber Development Officer Wasantha Liyanage and Export Agriculture Officer.

A three-day training program is currently being conducted at the Rubber Development Officer Division level with the aim of training tappers and introducing correct tapping techniques with the aim of increasing the productivity of rubber tapping lands. Accordingly, the training program held based on the Arandara Rubber Development Officer Division was conducted from July 15 to 17, the program at the Kegalle Rubber Development Officer Division was conducted from July 23 to 25, and the program at the Kotiyakumbura Rubber Development Officer Division was conducted from July 29 to 31. Also, demonstration programs on mature plantation maintenance, fertilizer application, disease control, quality rubber sheet production, and rain cover application are also conducted for the trainees during these programs.
